Happy Mid Autumn's Festival!
Happy Mid Autumn's Festival!
From the initial thought of spending it by myself to having an appointment to go out, it turned out to be a very enjoyable day. :)
As always, I was late in meeting up. I'm sooo sorry. I had to settle my Ipod issues before I could step out of my house. I can't live without music. So embarrassing. He had to wait for me for an hour coz he thought he would be late and rushed a cab down to Toa Payoh Central to meet me. Oopss... :X
Supposed to have lunch at Balestier coz he wanted to eat bak kut teh but the weather was way too hot for somewhere non-aircon. Down to Orchard and we had a very mouth watering brunch at Palais Renaissance. I had a crab cesar with ice mocha (topped with vanilla ice cream) while he had salmon omelette with hot latte. He gave me some of the omelette to try and it was really quite good. The portion of the food was quite huge too! So filling from the brunch.
Chatted til 3pm. Made our way to That CD shop to take a look. Bought 3 cds for $49.90. He paid coz he felt bad that I paid for lunch and he kept wanting to stuff money back to me. Men!!! Nowhere to go and decided to go for movie. Walked to Cineleisure and watched Wall E. Told Cher not to kill me for breaking my promise to watch with her. There were no other shows to catch!
Wall E's cute and kinda touching. A little bit of love story that's so sweet. :) Was raining when the show ended. Stuck at Cine, we walked around trying to find brolly. The only place that sells brolly was that cutesy place.. MiniToons or something. The brollys were too cutesy for both of us to wanna carry. By then, rain became slight drizzle so we just walked without brolly.
Walked back to Tanglin for dinner. Ate at Dan Ryans. I've always loved this place. It's kinda out of the way so it's quiet. Food is American portion and the beef is good. But this time round, I order black and white seafood linguine while he had a full slab pork ribs. A glass of red wine each for both of us. I haven't touched alcohol in a very long while and I'm not a big fan of red wine. But.. Yupz. Jus went ahead and drank.
Chatted from 6.30pm to 9.30pm. Basically, we were chatting the whole day! Non-stop!! My goodness!! We had so much to talk about. Went to Hard Rock where he wanted to get a t-shirt. Then it was to the bus stop to catch a bus back to my place. He amazes me.. By giving up his seat to old people. It was.. Unexpected but a heartwarming scene to see. Especially after that post that I wrote 2 days ago. And the wonderful thing is, he doesn't know about my blog so he did it of his own accord and not coz of what I wrote. :)
Headed to Ann's place to collect the luggage from her for my Taiwan trip. He helped me carry it home and he was holding on to my bag of cds throughout the whole time, even in the cinema. He's just this super nice guy who's easy to talk to and super easy going. I'm happy to have spent Mid Autumn Festival with him though he had no idea what today is about and the significance of it. Haha.
Thank u for the splendid day though it was just hanging out with a friend! U made me see things and find out so much about u. U showed me the behaviour of a gentleman which can't be found in many guys. U made it worthwhile for me to wake up so early on a Sun just to meet u. Thank u for everything today. Not sure if we'll hang out much with each other actually and u don't know the existence of my blog, but still, thank u!
