Nature?
The below was written in office on Thursday and typed into my blog today...
Been busy since the day I came to Shanghai. Finally took some time off (it was only 10 mins) to have a break after lunch to reflect and get a hold on my thoughts.
Looking out of the window at the swaying trees, I remembered the days when I was still in Uni and how I used to walk 4 bus stops home (approximately 20 mins walk). Those times were memorable as I had a chance to enjoy and admire nature - not that Toa Payoh had much nature to enjoy but the fact that I looked at the trees and flowers as I walked. It was the time where I get to recollect my thoughts and reflect upon things and events that had happened.
Somehow, those days have gone by and it's been a very long time since I last walked home. Where and when have those days gone by without me noticing? I wonder.. I do miss those times. Sighz... Have I been too busy pursuing the material things in life that I've neglected the things that were once close to my heart?
How long have I not gone to the beach or looked at the sea? How long have not been close to nature itself? How long has it been since I was alone to recollect my thoughts? It's been such a mess and confused period in my life with the move in job scope to Shanghai, the confusion and hesitation as to where I wanna be transferred to.
Think not many people know about this yet.. Although I've decided where to be transferred to, I'm still having doubts. After I came to Shanghai, I start wondering if I should stay on here if I have a chance to. Of coz there are people who are supportive and people who think otherwise. I know the ultimate decision lies with me but trust me, this decision is not an easy one to make. I've never been one to regret decisions that I make hence I really need to make a wise choice. 1 more month before I'm back to Singapore. Need to make up my mind soon... :(
Sighz... As if I'm not stressed enough as it is.. So many things on my mind. Missing those days when I will sit at a cafe and watch the world go by, the nights where I will sit by the sea, lie on the ground and look at the stars, enjoying the serenity of the night. When will I be at peace with my mind and heart again?

Shanghai
Been in Shanghai for about 5 days now. Work has been hectic with my 1st day being wasted on setting up the systems and having so many problems. Til now, my stupid email is still giving me problems which suck coz it's so troublesome to not have my email working properly. Didn't do my report for today coz of that. Sighz.. And now my connection at the hotel is lost.. Just got disconnected from MSN and I can't sign back in. ARGH!!
But I must say that I had a fantastic dinner tonight at this restaurant called Lisboa Yum Yum Pot. We had shark's fin, baby abalone, beef with ginseng sauce, fish head, durian chicken, and vegetables. We even had some local chinese wine and dessert of almond milk and egg white. The meal was awesome and the food was really yummy! Ate sooooo much!! And I've been eating sooooooo much since the day I arrived at Shanghai. It's crazy! I've definitely put on weight already.. Becoming fat...
Oh ya.. I have this really fantastic service apartment at The Ascott, Pudong. Love the house, love the room, love the toilet, love everything about it! It's really a very very beautiful place to be coz it's so spacious and it's really like a house except that there's buffet breakfast and housekeeping services for free.
So far, the only things that I really don't like are: (1) Toilets are small and kinda smelly, (2) You really have to fight for cabs, (3) Office is really hot coz outside is cold.. They on the heater.
But overall, I'm adapting to this place and so far, it's going good. Weekend's coming and we don't have a plan of where to go yet.. So.. Think I gotta go plan on what to do. Til then, more updates from me next time. :) Nitez all!

So fast..
Valentine's Day came and went..
Chinese New Year came and went..
My Hong Kong trip came and went..
Time flies.. I'm leaving for Shanghai for 2 months tomorrow morning at 10am and won't be back for 2 months. I'll have to miss Cyn's wedding and to be her sister at her wedding. Saddens me.. Worst part is.. I'm not even sure if I have access to Internet. If I don't have, I think I'll just die of boredom. Sighz..
Gotta rush thro my packing and stuff now. Will try to update more if I get Internet connection at Shanghai. Else, farewell to all for 2 months. I'll miss ya all, esp my boy! Take care!
