After so long..
It's been so long since I last updated my blog. What have I been doing these days? Hmmz.. Honestly, I dunno..

Celebrated my cousin, Ann's, bday on 10 Jan which was Hari Raya Haji and a public holiday in Singapore. Went to my aunt's place for dinner and us cousins decided to celebrate for her again on 14 Jan as her actual bday is on 16 Jan.

14 Jan - Tom came over in the afternoon to accompany me for a short while and to run some errands. Ann came to pick me up and we went to Dempsey Lane to drink wine at Wine Network. It was quite enjoyable. The ambience there is really nice and the wine there is not that expensive either. While we were there, we could hear the couple chatting at the next table and trust me, you wouldn't wanna know what they were talking about. It's really dumb but they provided us with a lot of entertainment for the night coz we were busy laughing at them. Ya, I know it's mean but they were truly disgusting so they can't blame us for being mean. Haha. Took quite a few pics there. Refer here.

After we left at about 11 plus, we went to karaoke at Toa Payoh Central. I met up with Jason who was at Toa Payoh Interchange due to work. It's been about 5 to 6 years since I last saw him. Can't remember the last time I saw him was when I was in JC year 1 or year 2. Yes, it's been that long. He was my very first bf at the age of 15 and we didn't last long. Haha. Amazingly, we're still friends after so many years. He has put on weight after the years! :p But he still looks the same though he has put on weight. Caught up with life for a while and I went to join my cousins for karaoke. :) Had a great time at karaoke and we went home at 3+ am. It was enjoyable as we haven't gone out together for a while.

The following week (16 to 20 Jan) was spent working and going home to sleep. Haha. Nothing much really happened. 21 Jan - Tom and I went shopping with my sis, Peggy. We had lunch at Bishan and ate Ramen. Wanted to buy shoes for New Year at Charles & Keith but nothing caught my eye. Headed to Orchard and we really walked til our legs ached. Reminded me of the days when I was in Bangkok where I walked such long distances. Haha. Bought a pair of black heels, undies, a skirt and my new handphone, N70. The handphone was my most satisfied buy! Nothing beats that man. I finally changed my handphone after so long and it's spoiling. :) Yay! Love my new handphone and I've tied the handphone chain that Tom's mum gave to me to my new handphone.

22 Jan - Went to pray to my grandpa early in the morning. After which, we headed to my aunt's place for lunch. Played 4 roundsof mahjong and lost money though I can't remember how much I lost. Haha. Waited for Tom to arrive and my sis, her hubby, my dear and I went to pray to my mum. It was pouring so heavily that we had difficulty praying to her coz the place was flooded. Still managed to pray to her and then we went to NTUC at Toa Payoh Central. My sis bought a lot of stuff! Sis and hubby went home to unpack whilst I went to Tom's house to put down my stuff. Headed to Parkway Parade for steamboat dinner and we were all so full!

25 Jan - Met up with Stef, Jean and Eevon for dinner at No Signboard restaurant - Mattar Road branch for dinner after work. The place is near Geylang and honestly, I didn't like the place due to the location. Dinner was fun coz we caught up with one another. Ron, Stef's bf, joined us as well but I'm not sure if he enjoyed himself coz he was the only guy with 4 gals. Haha. Took some pics with my handphone but I have yet to upload to my laptop. :) Overall, I enjoyed myself. Wonder when will be the next time for us to meet up again. Our gals' gathering only consist of the 4 of us these days. Sighz..

26 Jan - My boss, Joycelyn, treated us to department lunch for New Year. 2nd Lo Hei that I have in 2 days coz I had Lo Hei while having dinner with the gals the night before. Haha. Lunch was quite good coz it's Hong Kong style so it definitely suits me! The only down part was that it wasn't quite filling. Haha. I was hungry at 6+ pm.. :p

27 Jan - I went to Ministry of Sound finally! Was hesitating at first coz I was really tired but I couldn't contain my curiosity. Left my house at 1 am and even the cab driver knows MOS. Haha. We were mainly at the main arena where they played House music coz that was the only place where there were seats for us. I didn't like the music though and I was really bored. Explored the place and it was nice! They had a white room, Smoove which played R&B and a retro arena. I loved the R&B place coz I really loved the music but it was too packed for us to even dance. Sighz.. Justin, KK, Goldwin and I left at 3+am and headed for supper but the bak kut teh stall at mohammed sultan was closed for the night. KK went to send a gal home and the 3 of us had instant noodles by the road side. Haha. By the time I slept, it was 5+ am.

28 Jan - Eve of Chinese New Year. Woke up at 2pm and prepared to pick grandma up from the medicare centre to bring her to my aunt's place for reunion dinner. Reunion dinner was enjoyable coz the whole family was there. Played mahjong with my cousins for a while coz I was waiting for Tom to arrive. When he reached, we went to Yong Ming's place and played blackjack. Reached home at about 4+ 5am again.. So tiring!

29 to 30 Jan - Chinese Lunar New Year. Went to my aunt's place to celebrate the Lunar New Year. Everything went well this new year. My grandma was well-behaved and didn't talk much nonsense. The only bad thing was that I caught a cold and am down with flu. Didn't even know that my cousin had sent grandma back to the medicare centre til I didn't see her when I woke up. Sobz.

Went to Wine Network again with my cousins except that there were 8 of us this time and not just the 4 of us. My sis, her hubby, Alvin and Tom came as well. I could barely keep my eyes open due to the flu that I caught and I felt cold the whole night though I was wearing my jacket. Sighz... The bad thing about falling sick. Didn't even drink any wine. Just drank water the whole night. First time I'm such a good gal. Haha. Got to know the owner of Wine Network, Mr Chua and we applied for membership. :) As the place was closing at 12 midnight, we went to Prata Cafe for roti prata. I didn't eat any though. Sighz.. I treated my cousins coz... Be a bit mysterious first. Haha.

Err.. Ok. Nothing to be mysterious about. I got a bonus though I'm only a contract staff and I just got converted to permanent with a slight pay increment. Hehe. That's why I promised to treat my cousins. :p That's really good news for the Lunar New Year coz both the bonus and the conversion came about a week before New Year. It's fantastic! Never thought that I would get bonus but trust me, I need the money. Haha. Thanks to my boss for giving me and helping me so much! Without her, I definitely won't have all these. Kudos to her!

Ok.. That's all the update for now. Gotta get ready to go visiting at my dear's place and to my sis's place after that for another gathering with my cousins. :) More updates soon.. I promise! Will blog more often. Hehe.

Shanghai Night
It's 1.47am and I'm still not asleep though I'm actually feeling kinda sleepy. Waiting for my hair to dry so I decided to blog first.

My baby's gone to Genting with a few of his friends. He left on Friday morning and will only be back tomorrow night. I'll only get to see him on Monday at work and I can't give him a big hug til Monday after work. Sighz.. I know it's only been 2 days since I last saw him but I'm missing him a lot right now!! Can't wait for him to come back!!

Was quite bored after work yesterday as I didn't have any programs. Originally, the plan was to go for a massage with Edmund gor (my birthday present from him) but the injuries on my knee and finger have yet to heal so I can't afford to risk it. He was really sweet in agreeing to have dinner with me still. Wanted to go with some of the gals to Chinatown while waiting for him but by the time they were ready to leave, he was ready. Haha.

We went for dinner at Ajisen Ramen at Tampines Mall and I had a mushroom ramen and ice green tea. As it was an ala carte set, we could order 2 side dishes and we had fried dumplings and fried tofu. I ate everything that was my share! Felt so full after that! Haha. No wonder I'm putting on the weight that I lost due to food poisoning. :p Headed for some pool action after dinner. Played pool for a good 2 hours or so before his gf called to say that she's on the way to his place. Didn't want him to get into trouble with his gf so we ended our final game and I headed home.

It was the first time that I actually went out alone with Edmund gor and we chatted a lot. About his gf, current and previous. Somehow, we have the same kind of character in a way as in there's something in us that makes us feel that we are the same kind of person. It was good to bond with him.. Friendships are always good. :)

Today was Asia O&T and the theme was Shanghai Night. I wore a halter-neck white cheongsam. Went to Cheryl's place early in the afternoon for her to help me with my hair and makeup. She tied my hair into a bun using the accessories that we got earlier from a shop. It was a good thing that we went shopping before going to her place coz we managed to get pearl-beaded hair accessory for my bun, pearl earrings and a pearl like bracelet. She really dolled me up and made me feel very very pretty! Thanx gal!! Really appreciate all the time and effort in dolling me up everytime we have a function. *HUGZ*

I'll post the pics up when I have time. I know I still have a lot of pics not uploaded in my blog.. Rest assured that I'll be posting them up so pls wait patiently for them. I'll definitely try to get them up asap. I enjoyed myself a lot at the Shanghai Night though I was a bit disappointed coz I was supposed to be sitting with Cheryl, Edmund and Tek Chuan. By the time we went into the ballroom, there was not enough space for me! Sad.. I joined my department table in the end as they only had 4 people at the table. Including me, there were 5 of us eating food meant for 10 people! So you can imagine how much I ate tonight. The best part was, everybody at my table had 2 bowls of sharks' fin. Haha. The only down part, I didn't win anything at the lucky draw!! And no, I did not win the Best Dressed Award as there wasn't any. Haha. I enjoyed myself nevertheless. :)

Talking about sharks' fin, Tom's mum treated me to my birthday dinner on Monday (2nd Jan 06) at Thai Village. It's the second time that I had a pot of sharks' fin all to myself!! Was good but we all felt that the standard of the sharks' fin has dropped. I know it's cruel to kill the sharks but.. I can't resist good food! I feel bad for making Auntie pay so much for my birthday.. I mean, she already bought me a present. It's a handphone chain from Paris Bijoux, crystallised with Swarovski crystals. It looks expensive to me and I really feel guilty. Think I'm gonna buy her a big present for her birthday as well. :p

Was approached by the director of a company called Baize while walking to the MRT station this afternoon. He gave me his name card and asked if I was working or studying. Haha. Do I still look that young? Hehe. Told him that I was working in a bank and he asked if I was interested in working as a Public Relations Officer or in doing Marketing stuff. He told me to contact him if I was.

Just finished surfing his company's website. Check it out here. It's a pool parlour that looks really classy and has a pub in it. Seems like it's often frequented by local actors and actresses. Place is located at Clarke Quay and honestly, I like the looks of the place. Maybe I'll go for a recce or onsite visit soon. See how the place is really like. If everything is good and the pay is good too, I won't mind experimenting. I mean, I've always been interested in Public Relations and Marketing stuff. It's been something that I like to do, just like event management.

I guess it's a chance but there are definitely many other factors to think about. I'm not sure what my family will think or feel but to me, I wanna try more things when I'm young and still can afford the time. Jean has the same sentiments too. I don't wanna wait til I'm older and look back on my life to regret my decisions. I wanna do something that I know I like, that I can make it my long-term career. It's not that I don't like what I'm doing now, but with the new boss that I now have.. Trust me when I say, I wanna die and I will one day resign coz of him.

Everything's still too early for me to say now.. I have yet to see the place, talk about job scopes, etc etc. Will just have to see how things go.. But trust me when I say I'll give this a thought. I really gotta think it through carefully and for myself. I just wanna do something for myself.. I'll sleep on it. Haha.

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year one and all!! It's a brand new year, 2006. May everybody have a great year ahead and all their wishes coming true!

Well, yesterday was my birthday so Happy belated Birthday to myself. Haha. Not that it was totally happy though. I went cycling on Thursday and skidded. Fell and scraped my knees and 3 fingers.. Had food poisoning on Friday. It sucks.. Really does. I felt terrible on Friday.. Luckily I had some medicine for diarrhoea and stomach wind. Else, I'll still be half dead on my birthday. Hehe.

Had quite a number of people sms-ing or calling me to wish me a Happy Birthday. Thanks to those who remembered! I truly appreciate it though it might just be a simple message. Even had some people whom I haven't contacted for a long time remembering my birthday. Felt touched though some of my closer friends totally forgot about my birthday. Guess it doesn't matter anymore. The day's gone anyway. It's just another day..

Had quite a few meaningful presents. Tom's mum gave me a handphone chain crystallised with Swarovski crystals, his sis gave me a Braun Buffel wallet set and he gave me a ring plus the digicam. His family intends to treat me to dinner on Monday night as well. Feel bad making them spend so much on me..

I also had a song written for me and me only by someone whom I never expected. It's a Chinese song and I find it very meaningful and beautiful. Never expected this gesture but I must say that I treasure it a lot. Luke called me from UK. Every year without fail, he calls me on my birthday. Sweet! My buddy also called me after work and got all his colleagues to sing me a very very loud birthday song over the phone. Felt embarrassed yet touched at the same time. Thanks buddy!

The last day of the year aka my birthday. No, Tom still did not get me flowers. Haha. It's ok. He drove me to the doctor to change the dressing on my wound and we headed to Crystal Jade for lunch as I wanted to eat porridge. Halfway through, I felt my tummy churning.. An indication of the stupid food poisoning that I had and it's not totally cleared. Headed to the ladies and quickly finished up our lunch. Went to Guardian Pharmacy to buy everything that I need to use for the dressing of my wound. I spent almost $100 on 1 stupid fall. Sighz...

Proceeded home as I wanted to take my diarrhoea medicine before my tummy got worse.. And also to make sure I could last through the day and night. Next stop was to Chinatown to buy my qipao. I finally bought something that I like!!! Yeah!! And it was only the second shop that we went to and I found it. Shouldn't have wasted so much time going all over the place. Haha. Well, I'm very happy and satisfied with it. Just some minor alterations and it's perfect!

Went to Tom's place to rest after that as I was feeling tired from all the medication that I was taking and stuff. I knew how much he wanted to have dinner at Chijmes so I agreed to go with him. We had dinner at Hog's Breath Cafe. It's a nice place with very good service attitude. The steak was in a huge portion too! Definitely filling enough for big eaters. :) Try it.

Tom wanted to walk around at Raffles City after dinner but coz of the injury on my knee that was hurting, we were forced to head back to his place. I fell asleep at around 10pm! Haha. Ya.. I was that tired. Slept soundly and well while my dear was watching football. Came home around 2.20am.

Time for me to head back to bed! Happy New Year one and all.

People whom I thought will forget my birthday remembered.. People whom I thought will remember forgot.. The irony of life.. Or maybe, that's life..
