Happy Chinese New Year 2011

It's February!! Chinese New Year came and went so quickly!! Didn't get much of rest over the long weekend due to work but was glad to have the company of a very lovely dog for 3 days of CNY. She made my day interesting, beautiful and kept me occupied! :) Thanks Sid & Stef for letting me look after the little princess! ^.^


Last week was a crazy one. Went for Kelvin's farewell on Tuesday nite and my traders were out to get me drunk - it's not my farewell!!!! We had beer at Harry's then went on for dinner at a Cuba restaurant at Customs House. Had lots of champagne. Proceeded to Level 33 @ Stan Chart Building and we had a bottle of vodka. Right before leaving, we did shots! God!! Woke up in the middle of the night with a headache and felt a bit terrible! Had alcohol swimming in my tummy the next morning and vowed to swear off alcohol for 2 weeks.


BUT Wed nite being reunion dinner, I had champagne for dinner. And it was still alcohol for the next few nites! :p So much for my new resolution of swearing off alcohol!! It's no wonder everyone knew I won't be able to keep to this resolution! :X


Apparently there's another drinking session for another colleague's farewell. He tendered again.. Kinda unexpected and sudden. And we have some team drinking session this Thurs. I am sooooo dead!!! I better come up with some excuse to not drink too much.


Kinda surprised to receive a red packet from a Sales person today. Never expected her to give me coz we ain't super close to each other despite liaising often. Those whom I'm close to did not give me a red packet. Weird?!!! Hahaha. I'm jus really touched and honoured by her actions. It's not so much the red packet but the thought that counts! :) Thanks lots!!!


Having this horrendous outbreak of rash since CNY started. My legs are all red with broken skin. Looks really gross and I didn't know til I was in office today.. In a skirt. :( My mentor saw it and asked me what happened to cause the outbreak. I have no idea either. I think it's the stress that I've been piling on myself. Maybe I should stop pushing myself so hard to be a trader. Would sales be better? I wonder but I hope so..


I'll ponder about that while letting my poor skin take a break from the stress. De-stressed by de-cluttering the junk from my house yesterday. Spent the whole day packing up the house and I threw at least 10 pairs of shoes away! Plus a lot of other stuff! Proud of myself!! Woohoo!!

Rumour

Went to a club at Clarke Quay last nite called Rumour with the regulars from Instinct. The club is kinda like Dragonfly but the music is not as good, the live band and singers were also not that good. The lead singer who is supposedly the most handsome has got a whiney voice when he sings. Shudders.. Think I still prefer DF anytime, any day. Reached home at 6 and slept at 6.30am.. Tiring.. disappointed n jer's departure...

been a little disappointed with friends.. the term 'friends'.. what does it actually mean? someone u can talk to, someone who will be there for u? how many people can do that for a long time? i'm not very sure but i used to try n keep it contact with close friends in the past. i did all i could to stay in touch n find out what's going on in their lives so that our friendship can stay strong. however, that wasn't the case. 1 fine day, i finally decided to stop taking the initiative to remain in contact with them n the result was, they didn't bother either. what happened to the friendship between us? i'm not sure. but it takes 2 hands to clap n i don't understand y i always have to be the one who makes it happen. i've lost many friends coz of that. upset.. of coz i was. i've always treasured friendships but i don't see the point of hanging on if the friendship is so 1-sided. disappointed.. i've always believed that to be friends, we have to...

went to zouk again today.. to winebar this time. was there to celebrate the getting of results n the fact that we have finally graduated. saw my sim yr 1 crush, dave, there as well. seems like he's becoming less cute as the yrs go by. no longer interested in him since yr 2. haha. he was there with his usual group from rmit.. namely ben, alex, etc. was at winebar with wayne, victor, shaun, zijun, n tom. got to know a few people... leland n xavier. xavier is this guy who's a new n uprising artiste from channel u. he looks a lot like harlem yu but he's very westernised. guess it's coz he studied n grew up in the united states.he's quite interesting n friendly. :p quite nice to know him. my rash has been appearing quite a lot these days. it's been really itchy. makes me wanna tear the skin apart. wonder y it's suddenly popping out again when i don't think i'm suffering from any stress these days. i mean, now that results r out, there's nothing ...
