Lydia Sum
I often wonder about life.. How fragile it seems. Nothing lasts forever.. Be it any forms of relationships or simply, just life itself. Do not be mistaken. Nothing is wrong with my relationship.
This morning at 8.30am, Lydia Sum aka Fei Fei passed away due to liver cancer. Her persona on TV was a happy character with her ever-the-same style hair and red framed specs, she has become this familiar person whom almost all Chinese know. I remember watching her on TV.. The Hong Kong game shows / variety shows /charity shows she hosted and she was always laughing. Due to her obesity, she was unable to control her bladder very well. She would always laugh til a point where she would say that she is going to "lai liu" (Cantonese.. It means urine in her pants or urine uncontrollably). She may be fat but she was fat in a really cute way.
She had high blood pressure and diabetes then. In September 2006, there was news reports saying that she has liver cancer. It was a sad moment, especially when she accepted the TVB awards early this year. It was a moment where my tears rolled down my cheeks. She looked soooo skinny and frail. So totally different from the usual her. I would like to say again.. The irony of life. When she was healthy or if she had been healthy, I seriously doubt TVB would have given her an award this year. But at least she managed to receive it when she was still alive.
She was fluent in Chinese, Cantonese, English and even Shanghainese! Talented, I must say. Her life would have been even better, had it not been for the ever so idiotic and irritating Adam Cheng (whom I truly hate). That bloody womaniser made used of Fei Fei and divorced her 8 mths after their daughter was born. Yet, she was gracious enough to forgive him. I will not be able to if I was in her shoes.
Today, a brilliant star has just left us.. May she rest in peace and be the guardian angel for her daughter..
This blog is being typed in office. Haha. Just felt like expressing my thoughts. A lot of people are worried about the change in me, not going out for lunch and not talking much. But simply not in the mood to talk. I prefer to type. Haha. Been messaging and emailing Cheryl, Bee, Felix, Ken, Carissa mummy n Chris mama to chat. Other people, I will only respond when they talk to me. Mummy and Mama are very worried. I will be ok. Promise! Oh, and of coz the 1 person I talk to is JZ. Hehe. Yeah, we chat over the phone. :) He keeps me sane and definitely, not depressed. ^.^
Though I was slightly feverish last nite, I ended up packing my room again. Haha. Yeah, I'm suddenly very fastidious about cleanliness. Still got a small portion of my room left to pack and it's gonna be all ready. But I'm still thinking of ways to make it look even neater and less cluttered, even on my way to work I was thinking about it. Hehehe. Came to office this morning and the 1st thing I did after making my coffee was to clean and wipe my table and also, clean my bag. Haha. I'm nuts but it's a good feeling. :p
K.. 2pm now. Shall start work for now. And for Carissa mummy to be the 1st audience of this post. :)
