Fashion Extravaganza Nite

Our 2nd D&D themed "Fashion Extravaganza" took place last night. I had loads of fun. Let's start off 1st with what I did.

Met up with Bee, Lynn n Rachel for makeup and hairdo at 4pm Hollywood Secrets Paragon. Managed to finish everything by 6.30pm and proceeded to Meritus Mandarin for the start of the function. We did airbrush tattoos and as usual, I did the pic of a sun on my back. (Err.. Photos will be posted later coz all my pics were taken by Lynn, Rachel n Felix's camera). Hehe. Very happy with my fake tattoo. :p After that, I took glamour shots but the photographer chose a not very nice looking pic to give me. Sighz..

When dinner started, I didn't want to sit at my dept's table coz I really didn't wanna face the newbies when I eat. All appetite would have been lost so I sat with Bee and her dept. Our table was a combination of 3 different depts but it didn't matter coz we still managed to have fun. :) The organising committee for the D&D managed to hire Abigail, Maya (Singapore Idol season 1 finalist) and a Chinese performing arts person to perform "change face" for us to see. The emcee for the nite was fantastic! He really made me laugh a lot. Haha.

What was the best of the whole dinner was that I took loads of pics! Haha. I took with quite a number of people including my biggest boss (N), the head of Bee's dept (HT) and most importantly, someone I idolise and respect a lot for his talent, capabilities and drive at work (OC). He is truly a man I admire though we are from different sections of the company. He's just been promoted to Managing Director and he's only 40! Way cool! I wanna be like him!! Wonder if that day will ever come. Sighz.. We chatted a bit about work, my move to Shanghai for 2 months to train the people there. He asked me what I'm gonna do when I'm back and I told him I had no idea. He asked why I was willing to go Shanghai for 2 months and I replied that I treat it as a way to gain experience. Sounds like an interview ehz? Haha.

But honestly, much as I like the way he works (coz I'm a workaholic myself), I'm not sure if I wanna work in the section he's in. Have always felt that there's too much politics and back-stabbing there. Not the kind of area or people that I wanna deal with. Pretty much wondering what my next step will be coz Bee said that her dept will be undergoing re-structuring as well.

Must start planning for myself when I'm in Shanghai. But before I go to Shanghai, I think I need a new laptop.. More $$ spent.. Sighz..
